ANTIDOTE FOR A BLUE
Cape Velvet Crème Brulee.
Make a whole batch of this delicious dessert, double
up on the alcohol ingredient, and take it with you
to the office next Monday.
At about 09h00, dish out the treat
to everyone in the office. Offer your supervisor or
manager and the boss seconds.
Insist that they have seconds.
Soon the whole office will be grinning
and enjoying a swinging buzz.
5 egg yolks
65ml Cape Velvet Cream (You can use
any flavor, but English Toffee is the bomb!)
Heat the cream over moderate heat to just below boiling
and remove from heat.
In another bowl whisk together the yolks, sugar and
Cape Velvet Cream until the sugar has dissolved.
Pour the warm cream over the mixture and quickly stir
together so as not to cook the egg.
Gently pour the mixture into six individual moulds,
place in a oven-proof dish of water and bake at 120°C
for 25 minutes.
Remove and chill.
Directly before serving lightly and evenly sprinkle
brown sugar on top and lightly glaze under the grill
or use a flame torch.
